Police arrest two for credit union hiest

Two men have been arrested in connection with a Wednesday morning bank robbery at the Tremont Credit Union office on Columbia Point. Kevin Clement, 23, and Derrick Rogers, 25, have both been charged with Armed Robbery (bank). Boston Police detectives from Area C-6, members FBI Bank Robbery Task Force and Bureau of Investigative Services made the arrests.

Police say that Clement and Rogers walked in to the Tremont Credit Union in the Boston Teachers Union hall in Dorchester at around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning saying they had a bomb in the bag they were carrying. The pair demanded money and took an estimated $200,000. They ran from the building, leaving the bag behind. "It was so fast," a teller could be heard to say as she was shuffled out of the building by police.
