On Monday, Dorchester’s George Quinn was indicted for operating an illegal car rental operation in the neighborhood.

According to the attorney general’s office, investigators discovered Quinn had told the AMICA Mutual Insurance company he was a collector of cars to explain his multiple auto insurance policies. Taken out in February 2008, the policies were personal, not commercial, and thus gave him a lower premium.

Many of the people who rented the cars were unlicensed, according to the AG, and at least three claims were made on the insurance policies for accidents with the cars.

When Boston Police finally raided Quinn’s home, they also found ammunition and several firearms.

Quinn is set to be arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court on April 16.
