Corita Kent Lecture Series: Women and South Asian Art, lecture by Patricia Burson

Last October, Patricia Burson made her 3rd trip to South Asia to teach drawing, artistic anatomy and world art history to young Muslim women from six Asian countries at the Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh, as well as to art and architecture students at BRAC, Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee University and the Institute of Fine Art in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Join us for a presentation in which Burson will provide an illustrated overview of her experiences working and traveling in Bangladesh, illuminating the art scene in Dhaka during the Asian Art Biennale, and addressing the challenges and joys of working across cultural experience, drawing on the visual arts as a universal and unifying language.
