Police arrest teen on charges he carried a loaded gun

Police report arresting a local teen after he allegedly pointed a loaded gun at a student waiting for a bus on Columbia Road around 7:15 a.m. and then fled when officers spotted him.

Devante M. Phillips, 17, was arrested at Dudley and Alexander streets after "a vigorous and violent struggle" and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm and resisting arrest, police say.
