T warns of robbery risk around Ashmont

A rash of street robberies around Ashmont station prompted the MBTA Transit Police to issue an advisory to their officers on Tuesday. The warning details a string of four armed and unarmed robberies targeting black teenagers over the last week. The latest incident happened on Halloween evening near the station. The suspects in each of the four incidents are described as young black males. MBTA police also report that there have been six robberies reported in the "vicinity of Ashmont Station" over the last month.

When I was coming up in the 70's we hung out at Ashmont and you did not have this crap.

So over the last 10 years it's been relatively safe around Ashmont???
