Two teens arrested for gunfire outside Everett School

Boston Police report arresting the pair on charges related to gunfire that put the Edward Everett Elementary School, 71 Pleasant St., into "safe mode" this afternoon.

Police say they received reports of gunfire the school around 1:20 p.m. today. Michael Lopes, 17, of Dorchester and Reggie Gomes, 17, were arrested in front of 77 Pleasant St. after, police say, witnesses identified Lopes as the guy with a silver handgun in his front waistband that ran into the school yard. Police say they found evidence of gunfire at 152 Stoughton St. - and a silver revolver under the porch at 79 Pleasant St.

Police say nobody was injured by the shooting.

Lopes was charged with unlawful possession of a fireamr and on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation. Gomes was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
