The Morrissey Boulevard drawbridge has been fixed, state transportation officials said Friday afternoon.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation made the announcement at around 3:30 p.m. on its Twitter account.
The Morrissey Boulevard Bridge was stuck in an upright position Friday afternoon, sending traffic on either side down onto Freeport Street and Dorchester side-streets.
A Department of Conservation and Recreation spokeswoman had earlier told the Reporter a crew was working to fix the bridge and recommended avoiding the area. "We've got people down there looking into it now," said spokeswoman Wendy Fox.
