Gallivan Boulevard gas station held up at gunpoint; one arrested, one sought

The Boston Police Department says it nabbed one of two suspects for the armed robbery of the Hess station at 710 Gallivan Blvd. shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Police say Adilson Lopes, 30 of Dorchester, bought some stuff to get the clerk inside the station's mini-mart to open the register - letting the second man, who pointed a gun at the clerk, reach in and grab cash.

Police add that while that man was grabbing money, Lopes was swiping a bag of peanuts from the counter.

Boston Police say an alert state trooper nabbed Lopes not long after at Gallivan and Adams Street, a few blocks away. He was charged with armed robbery. The alleged gunman remains at large.
