Neighbors report daytime housebreak in Port Norfolk

Neighbors at a home in Port Norfolk returned home at mid-day on Tuesday (Feb. 7) to find that someone had broken into their home, stealing laptops, construction equipment and a safe.

Boston Police were called to the scene at 3 Port Norfolk Street at about 1:30 p.m. One of the victims told police they had locked the doors of the house as usual upon leaving the residence earlier in the morning. When they returned around 12:45, they found that someone had broken in and ransacked the house. The victims called 911 because they feared that someone was still inside the house, prompting a response from several C-11 police units. But, according to a Boston Police report obtained by the Reporter, no one was located inside.

Several items, including three laptop computers, two floor sanding machines and a safe with personal papers were reportedly stolen during the incident. Boston Police are investigating.
