Police issue alert after flurry of house breaks

The Boston Police Department's Neighborood Crime Watch department issued a "community alert" today in the wake of a series of residential break-ins that have occurred in recent days in Dorchester Area C-11 police district. The flurry of house breaks includes both daytime and overnight incidents stretching from June 17-June 26 on Crockett Ave., Fossdale Rd., Shenandoah St., Burgoyne St., Laban Pratt Rd., and Glenrose Road.

An email sent out today detailed each incident:

#1. At about 5:10PM, Monday, June 17th, 2013 officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for Breaking and Entering in the area of 26 Crockett Ave. in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim’s brother who stated that his sister’s residence had been broken into and her property had been stolen. The suspect(s) had entered the residence by way of the back door.

#2. At about 8:00PM, Monday, June 17th, 2013 officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for Breaking and Entering in the area of 12 Fossdale Rd. in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that her residence had been broken into and her property had been stolen. The suspect(s) had entered the residence by way of the back door.****

#3. At about 12:20PM, Friday, June 21st, 2013 officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for Breaking and Entering in the area of 4 Shenandoah St. in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that his residence had been broken into and his property had been stolen. The suspect(s) had entered the residence by way of the basement door.

#4. At about 4:35PM, Monday, June 24th, 2013 officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for Breaking and Entering in the area of 28 Burgoyne St. in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that his residence had been broken into and his property had been stolen. The suspect(s) had entered the residence by way of the kitchen window.****

#5. At about 12:11AM, Wednesday, June 26th, 2013 officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for Breaking and Entering in the area of 32 Laban Pratt Rd. in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that her residence had been broken into and her property had been stolen. The suspect(s) had entered the residence by way of the back door.

#6. At about 7:54PM, Wednesday, June 26th, 2013, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a Breaking and Entering in the area of 32 Glenrose Road in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that he had encountered Suspect #1, a White Hispanic male, about 6’ 00” tall and 175 lbs, wearing a black backpack in his home.

The victim chased him out of his home and down the street, where he observed the suspect jump into a Blue Ford Expedition with a partial Massachusetts Registration ***KP1, which was being operated by Suspect #2, a dark skinned black male.
