Police say the victim was approached by three people around 11:40 p.m. After taking his Samsung Galaxy Note, driver's license and cash, they jumped into a late-model Chevy Malibu and sped off, police say.

Police say officers spotted the car stopped for a red light outbound on Blue Hill Avenue.
