Sunday (12th) – Irish Heritage Festival, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Florian Hall and McKeon Post, Hallet Street and Hilltop Street. Live music, food, vendors, culture and children’s activities. Monday (13th) – City begins fall leaf collection on regular recycling days through Nov. 29. Place leaves and yard debris in large paper leaf bags or open barrels labeled “yard waste” (no plastic bags) by 7 a.m.

Wednesday (15th) – The last day to register to vote, change one’s voting address, or party affiliation for the November 4 state election is today. The Election Department, Room 241, at Boston City Hall, will be open until 8 p.m.. Voters entering City Hall after 5 p.m. should enter from the Congress Street side of the building opposite Faneuil Hall. Absentee voters are required to fill out a new application each calendar year.
