Summer Program Kicks-off

Summer Program Kicks-off - The on-site Summer program kicks off this week and the first session will run through 7/25. The program is open to members ages 5 to 12 and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A second session will run from 7/28 to 8/13. Both sessions are full and have a waiting list. Each session will include a variety of on-site and off-site experiences.

Special Pre-Summer Programs - Thanks to partnerships with the Boston Harbor Island Alliance and the ZAC Foundation, 200 members took part in special pre-summer programming this past week. 110 members stayed on-site for the ZAC Water safety program which included lessons in the pool, educational games, and visits with first responders. Our older members took part in the Island Hopping program with the Boston Harbor Island Alliance. 90 members took part in an orientation on day one, then spent the next three days travelling by boat to a different island in the harbor. The week concluded with each member being enrolled in the Jr. Park Ranger program.

Safe Summer Streets Concert
- The Music program will host an outdoor concert on 7/11 as part of the Safe Summer Streets program for teens. Acts will include Club members and guests. Teens interested in the Music Lesson program can contact Ayeisha Mathis (amathis@bgcdorchester.org).
