Truck plunges into Savin Hill Cove, spills fuel

A gravel-carrying dump truck rolled over on I-93 into Savin Hill Cove on Monday morning, sending at least 50 gallons of fuel into the water and snarling traffic all the way into Quincy.

“The driver safely out,” said the Boston Fire Department’s Twitter feed, which has been posting pictures of the rollover. The State Police's Twitter account has also been posting pictures of the accident.

The Boston Fire Department says that the truck, a 2000 Volvo, belongs to Mobile Excavating Company in Medway.
