Thursday (21st) – The next monthly meeting of the Boston State Hospital Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) will be held at the Foley Building, 249 River Street, Mattapan from 6-8 p.m.
Friday (22nd) – Project D.E.E.P. 19th annual Student and Volunteer Recognition Night, 6 p.m. at IBEW Local 103, 256 Freeport St., Dorchester.

• Dorchester Day Parade 10K Cocktails & Cash Drawing, Florian Hall, 55 Hallet St., Dorchester. Doors open 7 p.m., drawing begins at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds to benefit the Dorchester Day Parade Committee. Music, dancing, delicious appetizers, and great raffle prizes. Tickets cost $100 each and it includes admission for 2 and one entry in the drawing. General admission without entry into the drawing costs $25. Sunday (24th) – The 35th annual Memorial Day Mass in memory of the deceased will be celebrated by Rev. James Connolly Jr., at 11 a.m. in the Gilman Chapel at Cedar Grove Cemetery. A concert of patriotic music will begin at 10:45 a.m. Coffee and pastry will be served outside, after the Mass. All are welcome.

Monday (25th) – Dorchester’s Memorial Day Parade begins from McKeon Post at 10 a.m., following a route along Hilltop Street, St. Brendan’s Road, Granite Avenue, Gallivan Boulevard and Adams Street to Cedar Grove Cemetery. Ceremonies will be held inside the ceremony beginning at 10:45 a.m., including speeches and roll call with the neighborhood’s various veterans posts. Ceremonies follow at Vietnam Memorial on Morrissey Boulevard.

Wednesday (27th) – David Axelrod discusses his book Believer: My Forty Years in Politics with award-winning journalist Mike Barnicle, 6-7:30 p.m. at JFK Library, Dorchester. Call 617-514-1643 to RSVP.

• The Scent of Green Papaya film at Fields Corner BPL, 1520 Dorchester Ave., 3:30 p.m. This film will be screened in Vietnamese with English subtitles. Recommended for adults.
