Boston Baroque will present its fifth annual free community concert at the Strand Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. The ensemble, which has been nominated for three Grammy awards, will perform a program including Handel’s Gloria, Handel’s Water Music Suite in F, and Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 1. The concert will be led by widely acclaimed conductor Martin Pearlman and will feature emerging star soprano vocalist Mary Wilson.

Boston Baroque features some of the best period instrumentalists in the world and is widely regarded as America’s premier baroque ensemble. This free concert will provide yet another great opportunity to hear world-class quality musicianship at a local community fixture. The free show will serve as a preview of the ensemble’s New Year’s concert, which will be performed at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
