Kids’ Menu: Tree-lightings, bike rides and painting

This week we’ve got tree lightings galore sharing time with Kids Bike, and of course several Holiday Fundraisers to get you in the mood for giving.

Let’s start with the Mayor’s 2017 Enchanted Trolley Tour. Join the festive annual tradition of lighting The schedule is as follows: Fri., Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. in Mattapan Square, Mattapan. Sat., Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. in Codman Square, Dorchester. Sun., Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. in Adams Corner, Dorchester. For further information please call 617-635-3911.

Sat., Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. Kids Ride Meet-up with Kids Bike Dorchester at Neponset II Park. Come meet up for a low key bike outing. We’ll gather by the splash pad under the awning, say hello, meet some friends, old and new and decide what kind of ride we’re up for. All levels welcome, bring your own water and snacks. This event is open to all, feel free to invite other interested folks.

Sat, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. Saturday Babywearing Meeting at Codman Square Health Center 637 Washington St, Dorchester .

Wed. Dec. 6, 5:30 p.m. Leahy-Holloran Community Center Holiday Cocktail Reception and $10K Drawing. Landmark Public House, 772 Adams St., Dorchester.

Sun., Dec. 10, 1 p.m.— Workshop for Kids presented by Dottie Hottie Kendra Stanton Lee. Each student will come home with a painted flower pot, a decorated bag, ornament, and greeting card to be gifted and treasured for years to come. All ages welcome, although child should know how to form his/her own letters. All supplies are included in price of class. Boston Sensory Solutions, 500 Granite Ave, Milton. Tues., December 12 at 5 p.m. Jingle & Mingle at the Barking Crab Restaurant to benefit Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester. Enjoy live music from Legends of Summer, Farmer Willie’s popular Ginger Beer paired with cookies, complimentary food and drinks, raffles, and more.

Sun, Dec. 17, 3 p.m. Boston City Singers Winter Stars Concert featuring the Dorchester Training Chorus Cantare, Harmony and Tour Choir. St. Ann’s Church, Neponset. Free-will donation at the door. See bostoncitysingers.com.
