Woman shot to death on Santuit Street

A woman is dead after a shooting last night inside of a three-decker home at 11 Santuit St. Boston Police were called to scene in the St. Mark's area of Dorchester around 10:20 p.m., according to neighbors.

Boston Police have not yet characterized the nature of the death or named the victim. No arrests have been made, according to police.

The shooting was one of six to take place in Boston on Sunday. Two men were shot in an incident on the southeast expressway earlier in the afternoon.

Police also responded to a shooting outside 124 Glenway St. in Dorchester at about 9:15 p.m. The victim, whose identity has not been released, suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Two men were murdered in Dorchester last week. An unidentified teenager was shot and killed around 11:15 p.m. on September 6 in the area of 10 Payson Ave. On Tuesday (Sept. 5), a man was shot dead inside Creole International barber shop at 114 Stoughton St.

No arrests have been reported in any of these incidents.
