Fire on Barry Street displaces 18

Boston firefighters responded to 23 Barry St., off Quincy Street, around 5:45 a.m. for a fire that started in the basement, the Boston Fire Department reports.

The fire, which caused no injuries, caused an estimated $75,000 in damage, the department reports, adding the cause is under investigation.
