Bacteria keeps Dot swimmers out of water, luck
Elevated levels of bacteria closed Malibu Beach earlier this week leaving beachgoers hoping to beat the heat out of luck.

One dead, two critically hurt in Ashmont shooting

Three people were shot last Friday night on Dorchester Avenue in the vicinity of the Tara Pub and Ashmont station. One victim is dead and two others are in critical condition. The incident happened at approximately 1:13 a.m. at 1921 Dorchester Ave., across from the station.
According to a police statement on the BPD website, "On arrival officers discovered three victims all in their 20s suffering from gunshot wound. One person was pronounced and two other victims‚ are in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing. Investigators from the Homicide Unit are currently investigating this shooting and urge anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 617-343-4470 or remain anonymous by calling 1-800-494-TIPS."
