Claiborne takes helm at Area B-3
The Boston Police Department has installed a new captain at the Area B-3 stationhouse on Blue Hill Avenue as part of a dramatic re-assignment of district commanders that police brass say is aimed at grooming new leaders.


Allen, Celester go head-to-head in Sixth Suffolk race
With less than two weeks until primary voters elect a new state Representative in the Sixth Suffolk district, former BPD Deputy Superintendent Billy Celester has pledged to improve public safety and pursue aggressive reform of the CORI system while his opponent, retired mayoral liaison Willie Mae Allen, has focused on the need to improve the district's public schools and promised to advocate for families in need.
