Holidays Choir Concert in Mattapan Square

Holidays Choir Concert, Mattapan – St. Angela’s Parish, Mattapan will hold its Annual Holiday Concert on Sunday, January 13th, 2013 from 6:30PM until 9:30 PM at St. Angela’s Church on Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan Square. Proceeds will benefit St. Angela’s Church building repairs and improvement. Come and bring family and friends along to enjoy a memorable evening with inspiring worship music, songs and hymns in Haitian French, Creole, English and Latin. Eucharistic Adoration at St. Matthew's Dorchester

Join us every Wednesday from 8:30 Am until 5PM for Eucharistic Adoration (Exposition, Adoration and Benediction) at St Matthew’s Church (Chapel) Dorchester. St Mathew’s Church is located at 33 Stanton Street (off Norfolk Street) in Dorchester, Mass. - between Morton Street and Codman Square. There will be worship, praise, prayers and adoration of Jesus Christ continually throughout the day in English, Latin and Haitian French/Creole. At St Matthew’s, Eucharistic Adoration is a way for us to give Jesus love and worship in return. Eucharistic Adoration is followed by our daily Mass at 5PM. Read more

The Dorchester Day Parade Committee is hosting its 1st annual art contest open to all
Dorchester residents in the 3rd through 6th grade or students that attend a Dorchester
school. Two (2) prizes will be awarded to the drawings that are chosen from a
panel of local judges. Please fill out the registration form below and mail it with your
Art to the committee chair. A completed registration form and Art must be
postmarked by March 16, 2012 to be considered for a prize.

The Higher Education Development and Upliftment Program is offering free GED/ESL classes on Mondays from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Christ the King Church at 50 Stoughton Street, Dorchester, MA 02125. SouL Line Dance Classes @ the Holland Center

Beginner & Intermediate line dance classes are held weekly at the John P Holland School Community Center on Wednesdays in 8-week session durations. The next session begins 10/12 - 11/30 open to BCYF Members, contact the Holland Comm Center Staff if you are interested in attaining ADULT or SENIOR membership to attend the Soul line dance class.
We teach the basics in line dancing whether you dance SouL or Country.

Good Food Market at Gallivan

Every Wednesday, 4pm to 6pm, from July 13 through October 26 on the outdoor basketball court located on Standard Avenue in the Gallivan Housing Community. For $5, fill up a grocery bag with all the vegetables and fruits you want. Fresh, local produce is provided by Brookwood Farms, located in Milton, MA, in partnership with the Gallivan Task Force and the Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition. First Parish Church Building Restoration Benefit Gala
