Marr-lin Swim Team Hosts Taunton

The Marr-lin Swim Team hosted the Taunton Club in a meet that showcased some of the top talent in the N.E.N.E.A.P.C. league. Thanks to some great races the team managed to capture four of the five age groups. Throughout the meet there were many strong performances from swimmers in each age group. Teen Program News

The teen program at the Club has a number of upcoming activities for our 13-18 year old members to take part in, as well as ongoing favorites that meet regularly. Our Girls Group, Boys Group, Cooking Club and Teen Magazine meet weekly and are open to interested members. Drop-in activities in the Teen Center include board games, tournament, table games, video games, computers and teens can now drop-in to our brand new Music Clubhouse. Another component of the Teen program includes Career Prep activities such as the P.A.T.H. program, which is a 4-week class designed to assist teens seeking employment, along with our partnership with the Boston Youth Fund’s After-School Jobs program. This program will see 22 teens placed in support positions throughout all three Clubhouses. Another program is the Keystone Club, our leadership development group Club which, after inducting new members, now stands at 35 strong. Upcoming events for this group includes volunteering at the Celebration of Giving (12/4), the Holiday Social (12/13), the Annual Senior Citizen’s Christmas Dinner (12/17) and assisting at Christmas in the City (12/19). In addition, each member is now serving as a weekly tutor to a younger club member. Other upcoming events for the Teen program will include Movie Nights, Field Trips and our Annual Christmas Party.
