Intramural Basketball Program
The 14-team Winter Intramural Basketball program has completed week number three of regular season play with 7 games held over three days. On Thursday, the first of three games in the Boys Low Rim division saw the Lakers defeat the Bulls 26-22. Walter Dew-Hollis (10) and Joshua Herron (7) led the Lakers while Ryan Mikalauskis (9) and De’Andre Dew-Hollis (6) led the Bulls. In the second game the Hawks, behind Dana Monteiro (14) and Malik Brown (7) defeated the Pistons 29-22. Leading the offense for the Pistons were Darius Hinds (15) and Floyd Jacobs (4). In the final game of the evening it was the Knicks defeating the Celtics 25-7. Jayden DePina (9) and Freddie DePina (6) led the Knicks while the Celtics were led by James Anderson (2) and Matteo Pereira (2). Current standings have the Lakers and Hawks tied for first place at 3-0 followed by the Bulls, Celtics and Knicks tied at 1-2 and the Pistons at 0-3. On Friday afternoon the first of two games in the Girls Low Rim division saw the Rockets top the Warriors 23-15. The Rockets were led by Jennifer Colon (6) and Shenice Reeves (4) while the Warriors were led by the tandem of D’Mitra Weathers (10) and Abby Connolly (3). In the late game the Clippers defeated the Mavericks 24-20. Mizza Barros (10) and Tyallie Campbell (8) led the Clippers while Kiara Lodge (10) and Emani Serrano (5) led the Mavericks. After three weeks of play the standings have the Clippers all alone in first place at 3-0 with the Mavericks, Rockets and Warriors all tied for second place at 1-2. On Saturday morning, the first of two games in the 14 & under division saw the Cavs defeat the Nuggets 58-38. Philip Lodge (28) and Matt Papalambros (11) led the Cavs while Eduardo DeLeon (16) and Jordan Williams (13) led the Nuggets. In the second game the Pacers, behind the duo of Thomas Searcy (14) and Emoni Vicente (13), defeated the Sixers 51-48. The Sixers were led by Terrell Davis (12) and Raekwon Sone (11). Standings for the division finds the Cavs and Pacers tied for first place at 2-1 followed by the Sixers and Nuggets also tied at 1-2. February Program Highlights

The month of February looks to be an exciting one, with special activities taking place in all core program areas. In the Arts program our Winter session of classes will continue to meet weekly (except for the school vacation) while One-to-One and Small Group Music lessons will begin on 2/1. In our Aquatics program the members of the Marr-lin Swim Team will head to the League Championship Meet on 2/7 and 2/14 as well as taking part in the Worcester Invitational Meet on 2/27. The Patriot’s Kids Café program will continue to serve hot, nutritious meals to members ages 6 to 12 weeknights at 5:00. Please note that participants must be pre-registered. In our Social Recreation program we will be hosting a Super Bowl Party on 2/6 and taking trips to the Franklin Park Snow Festival on 2/13 and Disney on Ice on 2/15. In addition, look for daily tournaments and small group games taking place in the Gamesroom. At our Denney Center Clubhouse located in Harbor Point, there will be a Valentine’s Day Party on 2/12, a Black History Month Poetry Contest (2/16 – 2/19), a Ski Club Trip on 2/20, the Teen Munch & Mingle on 2/24, Parents Forum on 2/25 and a trip to the Movies on 2/26. In our Teen program we will offer a trip to Laser Zone on 2/5, the Hollywood Hearts Filmmaking project during the school vacation (2/16-2/19), the Munch and Mingle on 2/17 and a trip to Roller World on 2/26. We will also be working with our teen members interested in registering for the Boston Youth Fund Summer Jobs program from 2/16 to 2/18. Other teen activities include our teen leadership programs (Keystone, Girls Group & Boys Group) raising funds for the Haiti Earthquake and the Keystone Club Cultural Fair on 2/13. In our Education program Homework Help will continue on a Monday – Thursday schedule while One-to-One Tutoring will meet weekly. Lastly, in our Athletic program our three intramural leagues and two clinic programs will meet weekly while our four All-Star teams will continue home and away games against Clubs from the region.
