Fine arts and fun for teens

Fine Arts Program Accepting Registrations

The next session of Fine Arts Classes is beginning this week and some spots still remain. On Mondays we will offer “Gallery Art” which will see members ages 10 & older, accompanied by staff, traveling to art galleries throughout the city. Members will be exposed to a working artists environment, get the chance to see new art, see how artwork is displayed and the value of works being sold. Members will then return to the Club for dinner before heading to the art room to create their own projects. On Tuesdays we will offer a Girls Art Class at 3:15 p.m. which will include such subjects as jewelry design, sewing, creating your own lip gloss and more. On Tuesday evenings we will host Teen Art for ages 13 & older in the Teen Center. On Wednesdays we will offer a Drawing and Painting Class for Bantam members (ages 5-7) and an Open Art Class at 6:00 p.m. for ages 10 & older. On Thursdays we will offer three Sculpture classes: one at 3:15 for ages 5 to 7; one at 4:15 for ages 8 to 12; and one at 6:00 p.m. for ages 10-18. On Fridays, look for Photography Classes, with one at 3:15 p.m., a second class at 4:15 (both for ages 10 & older), and a class at 6:00 p.m. for teen members. These classes are in addition to Gamesroom Art which takes place weekdays at 2:15 p.m. and our “Learn To” Art classes for ages 3-5 on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons at 4:15 p.m. For more information on the Fine Arts program please contact Donna Seery at ext. 1320.
