Intramural Floor Hockey Program - The Intramural Floor Hockey program came to a close last week with four championship games for the respective divisions. In the 18&U Co-ed division it was the Lightning besting the Blues by a score of 6-3. The Lightning were led by De’Andre Dew-Hollis (3 goals) and Saide Smith (3 goals) while the Blues were led by Luis Rodriguez (1 goal), Michelle Beazley (1 goal) and Daehjelle Rousseau (1 goal). In the Boys 10&U championship it was Isaiah Gibbs (3 goals) and Adrian Kavu (1 goal) leading the Sharks to a 4-1 win over the Maple Leafs. Patrick Kelly (1 goal) provided the offense for the Maple Leafs. In the 10&U Girls division it was the North Stars defeating the Bruins 4-2. Alissa Fernandes (2 goals), and Kate McGrath (2 goals) led the North Stars while Aja Credle (1 goal) and Thalia Diaz (1 goal) led the Bruins. Lastly, it was the Flyers besting the Canadiens by a score of 4-2 to capture the Boys 14&U division. Pedro Lopes (1 goal), Jared McLeod (1 goal), Kalani Matra (1 goal) and Luis Rodriguez (1 goal) led the Flyers while the Canadiens were led by Ryan Manning (1 goal) and Bryan DeLaCruz (1 goal). Congratulations to all four teams. Next up on the Intramural Sports calendar will be Basketball with a Girls Low Rim division (12&U), Boys Low Rim division (11&U) and a Co-ed 14&U division. Holiday Family Skating Event - In partnership with event sponsor Dietz and Watson, the Club is offering families a chance to ice skate at the Frog Pond on Boston Common on 12/22 between 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. The event, which is open to Club members and parents, includes free skate rentals. R.S.V.P.’s are required and can be completed by contacting Mary Kinsella (mkinsella@bgcdorchester.org).
