May Program Highlights - As we near the end of the school year program May is looking to be an active month. Special events for the month include: a Youth to Campus event at U-Mass Boston (5/2) for teens at all three sites; the College Works Retreat to NH (5/4); Summer program registration at the Denney Center (5/6); the N.E. Women’s Leadership Awards Dinner at the World Trade Center (5/9); a Social Recreation Trip to the Movies (5/10); members of the Intramural Swim League attending the Watertown Relay Carnival (5/11); members of the Keystone Club volunteering at Cradles to Crayons (5/11); members participating in the Annual Mother’s Walk for Peace (5/12); Spring Music Lessons Begin (5/14); the Massachusetts Youth of the Year competition at Gillette Stadium (5/15); the Denney Center Munch & Mingle (5/16); Music Clubhouse Open Mic Night (5/17); members of the Torch Club attending the Northeast Summit in NH (5/17 & 5/18); a Denney Center Retreat to Cape Cod (5/17 to 5/19); the Intermediate/Senior Basketball League All-Star Games (5/18); a Project B.I.N.D. Parents Workshop (5/22); the All-Star Co-ed Volleyball Team will host Woburn (5/22); an Arts Program Trip to the Museum of Fine Arts (5/24); an Outdoor Adventure Club Hiking Trip (5/25); and the kick-off of the Music Clubhouse Idol Competition (5/31). Spring Fine Arts Classes Beginning - Our final session of school-year classes (painting, drawing & painting, beginner sculpture, intermediate sculpture, storybook art, fashion art, photography, teen art, recycle art, art masters and advanced art) will begin this week and run through the middle of June.
