October Program Events

October Program Events - The school-year program is in full swing and the month of October looks to be an exciting one. On 10/4 we will host a club-wide Talent Show at our Denney Center Unit while members of the Torch Club will walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event (10/6). On 10/9 we will host a teen trip to the N.E.N.E.A.P.C. College Fair at the Lawrence BGC, begin our Nutrition Education classes with Keystone Peer leaders, and host the Annual Daniel Marr, Jr. Catholic Schools Scholarship Awards. On 10/10 our Denney Center Unit will take a trip to the N.E. Aquarium while our Teen program will take a trip to Barrett’s Haunted Mansion on 10/11. On 10/17 we will attend the Theater for Kids performance of the “Jungle Book” at the Huntington Theater and on the following night (10/18), host our Monthly Open Mic Night. On 10/23 we will host a Mock Interview session for teens and follow that up with a Job Shadow experience (10/25), both in partnership with State Street. On 10/26, the Marr-lin Swim Team will host the Blue/White Meet and on 10/27 we will host a special screening of the documentary “Inocente.” To close out the month we will be taking a trip to the Patriot’s Game (10/27) hosting our Annual Financial Literacy Night workshop with State Street volunteers (10/31), and look for our Halloween Party (10/31) at the Denney Center.
