Teen College Bound Events

Teen College Bound Events - The College Bound series for teens will offer a variety of on-site and off-site activities in October. On 10/9 we will travel to the Lawrence Club to take part in the Annual N.E.N.E.A.P.C. College Fair. That will be followed by an on-site workshop with peer leaders from the College Works program on 10/16. The following week volunteers from State Street will be on-site to host a Mock Interview workshop on 10/23. On 10/26 we will take teens to a College Works Information session and BBQ. Finally, on 10/30, volunteers from State Street will return to host the Annual Financial Literacy Night. For more information please contact Emily Capurso (ecapurso@bgcdorchester.org).

Keystone Club News - The Keystone Club, our teen leadership program, is fresh off introducing a new set of inductees to our returning group and planning on a number of exciting activities. On 9/27, the group will host a Black Light Dance fundrasier, and will follow that up by hosting a waterstop at the Annual Rodman Ride for Kids on 9/28. Other upcoming projects include serving as peer leaders to younger members by hosting 5-week Nutrition Education classes with The Greater Boston Food Bank and serving as Club Ambassadors to new members in our Project B.I.N.D. “Learn To” Classes
- This Fall, the popular “Learn To” classes have returned for members ages 3 to 5. The Soccer Stars, Floor Hockey, Swim Lessons and Art classes are all on the schedule, along with several playgroups for parents and children.
