Career Prep Program - This Summer the Club is pleased to team up with American Student Assistance (ASA), a boston-based nonprofit and their online personal finance resource SALT (www.saltmoney.org) to provide financial education to our teen workers. As part of the Summer Career Prep program more than 100 teens will complete a financial education curriculum on topics ranging from education planning to money management fundamentals. The summer program is the first phase of a promising partnership between the Club and ASA. Teens today are faced with rising higher education costs, increased student loan debt and in general, a more complex world of consumer debt choices. Our goal in partnering with ASA is to build financial competencies early on so that our teens are prepared for whatever financial trials lie ahead. The Summer Career Prep program is run in partnership with Mayor, Martin J. Walsh’s Department of Youth Engagement & Employment, the Boston Private Industry Council, and the John Hancock M.L.K. Scholars program.

July Special Guests
- As part of the Summer daytime program the Club will welcome the Massachusetts Youth Soccer program (weeks of 7/21 & 7/28), the B.U. School of Dance for a performance and workshop (7/24), and the Curious Creatures program (7/28). All three visits will provide inter-active programming opportunities.

Summer Film Classes - This Summer, teen members interested in Film & Video programming can take part in classes as part of the Safe Summer Streets program in the evening. Members can learn about filming techniques, editing and how to use all of the equipment. There are also drop-in activities to assist with Club video projects.
