Fall Fine Arts Program - This Fall, the Fine Arts program at the Club will be offering evening classes in Sculpture (mondays), Painting (tuesdays), Design 101 (wednesdays), and Mosaic Tiles (thursdays). Each night will offer a class for beginners (6:00 p.m.) and Intermediate (7:15 p.m.) level artists. On Fridays we will host a Class as part of our new Community partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts. This group of artists will work on a project which will later be displayed at the Museum. In addition we will also host Teen Arts on Friday evenings (7:15 p.m.) For information please contact Jessica Hulslander (jhulslander@bgcdorchester.org).
Summer Program News - The on-site Summer program has come to a close with both the day program and Safe Summer Streets wrapping up their activities last week. Activities will now head off-site as we send 150 members to the 9th Annual Camp Northbound trip in Bridgton, ME. While at Camp members will enjoy team sports, outdoor activities, water sports, and much more. The following week a group of 150 will take part in the Rodman Disney for Kids Trip to Orlando, FL. The Club will re-open to our drop-in membership on 9/8. A reminder that all members will need to renew their membership for the start of the new school year. Family Fun Day - The Licensed Early Education and Care programs will host a Family Fun Day event on 8/22 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friends and family are welcome to join us for family activities, refreshments, a moon bounce, face painting, and more. Children within the program must be accompanied by an adult and will depart following the festivities. For information contact Ellen Lucas (elucas@bgcdorchester.org).
