Film & Photography Programs

Film & Photography Programs - The Club offers members ages 10 & up the opportunity to take part in drop-in and registered classes for Film and Photography. As part of our evening schedule of registered programs we offer 3 levels of Photography (beginner, intermediate and advanced) along with Film classes as follows: Film Academy (mondays), Music Videos (Tuesdays), Short Films (Wednesdays & Thursdays) and the Film Club (Fridays). College Planning Workshop - The Club will partner with American Student Assistance and the SALT Program to host a “How to Plan for College” workshop on 11/15 from 11- 12 p.m. This month’s workshop, which has a limited enrollment, is open to High School students, Parents, and non-members free of charge. Workshop content will include an overview of the admissions process, the common application, and the college search and essay. Open Mic Night - On 11/21 we will host our monthly Open Mic Night at 6:00 p.m. in the Music Clubhouse. Interested acts ages 10 & up are welcome to register in advance and family members are welcome to attend. For info, or to register, contact Ayeisha Mathis (amathis@bgcdorchester.org).

Shawnee Peak Ski Outing
- Invited members will be taking part in our 5th Annual Outing to Shawnee Peak in Bridgton, ME in January. Thanks to Mr. Chet Homer, owner of the Mountain, 150 lucky members will receive transporation, lessons, rental equipment and lift tickets for a day of skiing or snowboarding on the slopes.
