Motley Part of
the Problem, Not Solution
To the Editor:
As a disabled veteran and recent
graduate of UMass-Boston, I would hope that the Board of
Regents, conduct a nationwide search for the finest
chancellor they can obtain. UMass-Boston has one of the
finest and qualified faculty in the nation and it deserves
the best in a leadership.
J. Keith Motley may be one of the
finest people on the planet, but what does his track record
show? UMass-Boston has a highly bureaucratic administration,
that reeks of the good old boy syndrome and Dr. Motley is a
part of that syndrome. It is time to turn the page and start
anew. Politics has no place in an institution of higher
learning.
This is an opportunity to go for
the best, go for it. UMass-Boston deserves it!
