Board of Trade Toy and Donor Drive for Holidays
For 19 years, the Dorchester Board of Trade [DBOT] has hosted a Holiday celebration event where members and friends contribute to worthy causes in Dorchester. We pool our resources by donating toys and making other contributions that support families that are struggling to provide for the essential needs of their households.
This year, we selected two organizations to be the 2010 DBOT Charity Award recipients
We are asking you to join us by adding your contributions to those of other member businesses as we support the following agencies in their mission to provide hope for children and families living in our community.
The Dorchester Neighborhood Service Center [DNSC] - a subsidiary of ABCD. DNSC is Boston's largest anti-poverty agency. DNSC serves more than 100,000 low-income, Greater Boston residents through a city-wide network of neighborhood-based organizations.
The SPARK Center - the only program of its kind in New England. SPARK is a medically–therapeutic childcare facility and day program. SPARK services children and families whose lives are affected by complex medical needs (premature birth, neurological problems, failure to thrive, and HIV/AIDS).
You can support this year’s Charity Award recipients by visiting www.dorchesterboardoftrade.com and processing an online donation. Another option is to bring an unwrapped toy or a financial contribution to the Fields Corner CDC office, at One Arcadia Street, Dorchester, MA or to the Mt. Washington Bank, 489 Gallivan Blvd.,Dorchester, MA.
Please make check or money order payable to the Dorchester Board of Trade and write “Charity Award” in the memo section.
Thank you for helping to bring a brighter day to our neighbors supported by the Dorchester Neighborhood Service Center and SPARK Center.
