Mayor of Dorchester contest seeks candidates

Dorchester Day Parade Committee— 2011 Mayor of Dorchester Contest Announcement
Come One, Come All, Dorchester residents to campaign to be the next honorary Mayor of Dorchester.
The Dorchester Day Parade Committee is looking for a few good neighbors to compete for the bestowed title as the honorary Mayor of Dorchester. The winner will receive the coveted Mayor’s medallion and will be the honorary mayor for one year.
The Mayor will also walk at the front of the parade on Sunday, June 5, 2011 and will be invited to participate in all of the Dorchester Day events for 2011.
All Dorchester residents that are interested in being in the race for Mayor are asked to come to the next Dorchester Day Parade Committee meeting on Tuesday, February 22, at the Comfort Inn, 900 Morrissey Blvd. in the conference room at 7:00 p.m. The committee will take your contact information and will explain the rules and timeline.
Registration for the contest will remain open until the meeting on March 21. If you cannot attend either the February or March meeting and would like to run, please email us at info@dotdayparade.com and we will contact you with the details.
