This summer, bring your day to a close with peaceful yoga poses and breathing exercises during weekly outdoor classes at the Bowdoin-Geneva Community Hub. Great for all levels, ages, sizes and identities.
Classes take place every Thursday from 6:45 - 8p beginning July 10th.
These classes are FREE thanks to a partnership with Sustainability Guild International and the Dorchester Community Food Co-op.

Every Friday evening the Anthony D. Perkins Community Center hosts “Family Variety Fridays”. This is a FREE weekly Friday event open to family, friends of all ages and the community-at-large, all summer long. No membership or registration required.

The Community Peace Circle is a time and place where people who are affected by the violence in our community can come together and speak honestly about what’s going on for them. It is a simple, yet deeply meaningful process in which participants hear and affirm the truth in one another’s statements and lend support, as needed. Dorchester House Multi-Service Center is offering free blood pressure screenings every Sunday from 9:30am – 12 Noon. Often called “the silent killer” because it has no symptoms, High Blood Pressure can damage your heart, arteries and other organs and can lead to heart attack, heart disease, congestive heart failure, stroke, and many other health problems. Anyone interested in checking their blood pressure can just drop by the Dorchester House Urgent Care Clinic, which has direct entrance from the parking lot adjacent to the health center building.
