Boston Police, family seek missing teen

Boston Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a local teen that was reported missing on Dec. 15. Her father reported her missing stating that she had fled their home in Dorchester with most of her belongings. Stephanie Nguyen is a 15 year-old Asian female. She stands at 5 ft. 3in., weighs approx. 95 lbs (slim build) and has black hair.

Stephanie's family is very concerned and is hoping anyone with information will contact police. If anyone knows of Stephanie's whereabouts, please contact C-11 detectives at 617-343-4581.

New crop of detectives to help bolster police districts

Boston Police Detective Joe Young, foreground, was among the 64 men and women sworn in during a rating ceremony held Monday at Jubilee Christian Center on Blue Hill Ave. The reinforcements are badly needed at police districts that have been struggling to keep up with busy caseloads with too few detectives. The infusion may also allow the BPD to revive investigations into older crimes. Full story.
