Pete Stidman photo Coakley report: Acute inpatient care "may not be" Carney's future In a highly anticipated report released last Thursday, Attorney General Martha Coakley recommends that the Archdiocese of Boston "relinquish control" over Carney Hospital to a Board of Governors and suggests that "acute medical-surgical inpatient hospital care may not be the appropriate future for Carney." The report drew a decidedly mixed reaction from Dorchester leaders and some industry experts, who rejected the premise that Carney move away from acute, inpatient care and focus instead on "behavioral" health issues.
