Busy night in Beantown

Couple of politically-themed things going on in Boston tonight:

First up, there’s the at-large candidates’ forum in Copley Square. Most are expected to show up.

Felix G. Arroyo is holding a campaign kick-off at roughly the same time, but will try to make the forum before it ends at 8:30 p.m., according to campaign aides. The kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the offices of Local 615 of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), at 26 West St.

In Dorchester, there’s a “Meet Our Haitian American Candidates” event, at Sant Belvi on 6 Frontenac St., off of Blue Hill Ave. The event, organized by City Councillor At-Large candidate Jean-Claude Sanon, is expected to run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Candidates from other cities will attend, too, including from Brockton, Randolph and Malden.

U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden is in town tonight to raise money for the Democratic National Committee and Organizing for America. The 5 p.m. reception, which Mayor Thomas Menino is expected to attend, will take place on Fenway Park’s right field roof deck. The Red Sox will be playing an away game with the Nationals.
