That's one way to describe the Globe's extensive Sunday article on city development under Mayor Thomas Menino.

(And thanks to the Phoenix's David Bernstein, we'll never be able to look at that Back Bay building the same way again.)

It's not the type of thing that could be termed as good press. (Hence the defense Menino put to a Jamaica Plain crowd earlier this month, even making brief mention of the then-impending Globe's article in his talk.)

But here's another view, from Banker & Tradesman reporter Paul McMorrow, who knows developers and talks to them quite frequently.
