Mayoral write-in candidate appears outside MassVOTE forum

But he didn't take the stage for the back and forth between three of the four candidates who are on the ballot.

William Feegbeh was out in front of English High School in Jamaica Plain before the Thursday night event got underway. (He wasn't the only one working the 300-plus crowd of people who came: signature-gatherers for U.S. Senate candidate Alan Khazei were asking people to sign nomination papers for the CEO of Be the Change, Inc. as they left the forum.)

Feegbeh passed out a typo-laden "letter to residents" to folks heading into the high school.

But city workers and Local 718, take note! In his letter he promises to work with the City Council "so that we can pass laws that will increase the salary of employees of the City of Boston including Police officers, and the Firefighters."

At the end of the forum, the three mayoral candidates who attended -- City Councillors At-Large Michael Flaherty and Sam Yoon and South Ender Kevin McCrea -- posed for pictures with the moderator, while McCrea held up an empty chair in a shot at Mayor Thomas Menino for being unable to make it.
