Mayor Menino will tour the North End Head Start school and visit with some of the children. The mayor will also read to the children and participate in a number of other activities with them.

We Are Boston Leadership Awards with Yo-Yo Ma
Boston Convention and Exhibition Center 415 Summer Street

Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the Mayor’s Office of New Bostonians will host the fourth annual “We Are Boston” awards gala. The annual event celebrates Boston’s diversity, immigrant heritage, and the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations to Boston’s immigrant community. This year, world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma will receive the We Are Boston Leadership Award. Awards will also be given for Youth Leadership, Community Leadership, and Corporate Leadership.
