Dancing on the Balcony: Education in Dance for Older Adults

Dancing on the Balcony is an interactive dance class that presents seniors the opportunity to study dance and create a dance performance with professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher Joan Green. Participants will learn a variety of dance skills, including warm-ups, activities to help maintain mobility and balance, locomotor phrases, creating choreography as a group, and performance skills. The classes will culminate in a performance to be held on the evening of Thursday May 16.
The classes are free...and limited to twenty-five participants ages 55+. Registration is required. To register, please contact Katrina Morse at 617.427.3337 or kmorse@bpl.org. Participants must commit to all sessions.
Classes will take place Wednesdays from 10:30 am-12:30 pm, March 13-May 15, with a performance on the evening of May 16.
