Hometown Comfort benefits bombing victims, first responders

All of Dorchester is coming together to heal our city on Sunday, May 19th at the IBEW Local 103 located at 256 Freeport Street, Dorchester.

Our event welcomes all and is called “Hometown Comfort”, a day for our community to honor victims and first responders by collecting blood, raising money for The One Fund-Boston, and supporting one another with the embrace of a hometown.

Daytime event is a hometown family carnival 12 noon to 4 pm, “Under the Big Top”, including amusements, games, music, arts, crafts, and prizes. Fun food, hot dogs, ice cream, cake…

Nighttime event is 6 pm to 9 pm with comfort food tasting from some 30 area chefs who are bringing their best bites. Live music, live auction, and NPR’s Tom Ashbrook will be hosting.
