*[subject to Scheduling and Availability Changes] New Business This Month: (1) Discussion of Future Meeting Sites for the Hancock Civic Association (as we may no longer be able to meet in the Bird Street Community Center Building [2ND floor] or Upham's Corner Branch Library) (2) News Note: The St. Kevin's Property Project (516-530 Columbia Road and 35 Bird Street) to put in about 80 units of housing has moved forward as of February 2014. There will be demolition and building of new structures as well as rehabilitation of existing structure(s). The school building has been demolished as of March. (3) Currently still in the News: Bank of America branch in Upham's Corner [at 555 Columbia Road, Dorchester] is closed permanently. The bank building has been For Sale! Updates to follow. (4) Upcoming road work to take place on Columbia Road in Upham's Corner that will affect pedestrians crossing and vehicular traffic.
