Roxbury Multi-Service Center, Inc. one of the first human service organizations established in Boston proudly celebrates turning 50! RMSC is committed to providing families and their children with the tools to live stronger, more productive lives, – thus enriching the communities in which they live. Governor Deval Patrick and Mayor Martin Walsh are honorary chairs of this historical event, and to help honor this auspicious occasion, several leaders from Boston’s civil rights movement and former executive directors will be in attendance.
Honorees include: Action for Boston Community Development, Inc., the oldest and largest Community Action human service agency in Boston who wrote the Ford Foundation Demonstration Grant to create RMSC, and the iconic Hubie Jones who served as the second Executive Director at RMSC.
Keynote Speaker will be Michael Curry, President of the Boston NAACP
WCVB’s Karen Holmes Ward will serve at Mistress of Ceremonies
