The state’s Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 1:30 p.m. to mark the completion of a new pedestrian bridge across the Neponset River between Dorchester and Milton. The $843,300 pedestrian bridge, originally built in 1917, opens up the Neponset River Greenway for the use and enjoyment of nearby residents. It is located next to the Baker Square development on Adams Street.
