Menino, Mayor Parade Theme: Salute to the Seniors of Dorchester Cecily Foster, Director Mayor's Office of Special Events & Tourism Patte Papa, Public Celebrations Stephen Allen Sr. Chief Marshal July 1925-March 2003 Parade Route Dorchester Avenue, marching north from Lower Mills (Pierce Sq.) to St. Margaret's Church at Columbia Road and Dorchester Avenue. Reviewing Stand The Chief Marshal and Unit Leaders will review at Chief Marshal's stand at Edison Green St. and Dorchester Avenue, Catherine Clark Apartments. The following information is published for the convenience and guidance of the troops and organizations that will participate in the Dorchester Day Parade, Sunday June 1, 2003, in Dorchester. The starting time of the parade will be 1:00 p.m. (1300 hours).

The parade will step off at 1:00 p.m. SHARP! From Washington Street facing Dorchester Avenue, and proceed North on Dorchester Avenue with dismissal at Columbia Road and Dorchester Avenue. The Chief Marshal and Parade Committee will report to Dorchester Avenue and Washington Street (Pierce Sq.) at 11:45 a.m. Military will form on Adams Street, Facing Washington Street at 12:15 p.m. Division One will form on River Street, Facing Washington Street at 12:30 p.m. Division Two will form on Morton Street, Facing Washington Street at 12:30 p.m. Division Three will form on Washington Street, Facing Morton Street at 12:45 p.m. Musical units are expected to continue playing until they reach the end of the parade at Columbia Road. Units are urged to keep the parade moving. If vehicles are out of service, they must be moved to the side to let the parade pass through. Rate march is 120 steps per minute.
