Brew at the Zoo will be held at Franklin Park Zoo on the evening of Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Brew at the Zoo is a beer tasting event that features stations hosted by local breweries, restaurants and caterers - as well as an opportunity to stroll among the animals in our signature Tropical Forest Pavilion, which is home to our gorillas, a giant anteater, ring-tailed lemurs, and many other species.
Participating breweries include Peak Organic Brewing Company, Blue Hills Brewery, Long Trail Brewing Co., Samuel Adams, Cambridge Brewing Company, Clown Shoes Beer, Watch City Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Tuckerman Brewing Company, Narragansett Beer, Mayflower Brewing Company, New Planet Beer, North Coast Brewing Company, 21st Amendment Brewery, Bantam Cider Company and Brooklyn Brewery. Food will be provided by Doyle's Café, Piantedosi Baking Company, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Utz Quality Foods, Whole Foods, Tavolo Pizza, Ashmont Grill and Costco Wholesale. Music will also be provided by DJ BK.
While in the past this event has been held in early October at the Zoo, we have decided to move the date to August to not only capitalize on daylight but to also expand the event’s footprint and utilize more of the Zoo for this unique event. This year, guests will also have the opportunity to stroll through our exciting seasonal exhibit Zoorassic Park. Zoorassic Park, open through September 3, features more than 15 life-size animatronic dinosaurs in a truly thrilling and unforgettable experience!
Boston Super Tours will be providing FREE transportation to Franklin Park Zoo from Forest Hills Station from 5:00-7:00 p.m., and FREE transportation from the Zoo back to Forest Hills Station from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Meet at the lower level of Forest Hills on Washington St., right across from the Dogwood Café.
Given the popularity of Franklin Park Zoo, Brew at the Zoo promises to be the not-to-be missed beer tasting event in Boston!
Proceeds from Brew at the Zoo will support the operation and continued growth of Franklin Park Zoo, its education programs and conservation initiatives.
