Bring us your retired jack-o-lanterns and then join the fun by smashing your pumpkins into the City Natives compost piles. All donated pumpkins will be composted to create nutrient-rich compost and improve soils across Boston.
On Saturday November 3 from 10 a.m. to noon we will collect your pumpkins at City Natives, 30 Edgewater Drive in Mattapan. You pumpkins will join the compost that comes from pumpkins gathered from our annual pumpkin float at Pope John Paul II Park in Dorchester.
Looking to improve your garden this fall? Compost and organic fertilizers will be for sale at the Pumpkin Drop.
